To start hanging your hammock you will need two strong trees, posts, or beams at least ten to fifteen feet apart, depending on the hammock type and length.

It is important to look at your hammock type when deciding how to hang your hammock. For classic hammocks we recommend less tension (a banana shape) in your hammock, so a higher hanging height is recommended. Spreader bar hammocks should have more tension, so a lower hanging height is recommended.

Once you have found the right hanging height for your needs, attach the tree straps by wrapping them around the tree trunk, post, or beam. Loop the rope through the ends of the tree straps and attach the SmartHook. You can then slide the SmartHook along the rope to adjust the suspension.

To fully enjoy the unique comfort of your hammock, you should position yourself diagonally. This way the lying surface can open completely and adapt to your body.

Unlike lying lengthwise, your back is optimally supported and the pressure is relieved from your spine.
