Teak Wood is noble wood, durable,soft and resistant. It is naturally resistant to moisture, heat, light, termite and other harmful agents.

The Handle is protected at the bottom by a single piece bone butt cap. Bone cap gives the Teak handle strength and makes it aesthetically appealing. The cap has Mjolnir engraved on it.

The solid one piece hand forged stainless steel blade gives the axe strength and edge to cut through material. The blade is X46Cr13, making it high in hardness and corrosion resistant.

The axe comes with a genuine leather hand made sheath to cover the blade when not in use. The cover can also be attached to a belt to make it easier to carry the axe.

Norse mythology is the body of mythology practiced in Scandinavia (Norway, Sweden and Denmark). Norse mythology encompasses figures and stories from numerous sources, medieval manuscripts, archaeological evidence and folk tradition. Some of these deities include Thor, Odin, Freyja, Skaoi, Njoror and Loki.

This Windlass Scandinavian Thane inspired hand axe features many traits common to the Norse hatchets we've come to love through the years. The solid, one-piece forged head is strong X46Cr13 high-grade stainless steel with a 52 RC. The comfortably contoured handle is Sissoo, a North Indian hardwood and it's capped with a handsome genuine viking knot engraved bone butt cap. Even better are the Norse engravings unique to our axe that are deeply etched on both sides of the handle, and on the bone end cap is a depiction of Thor's mighty hammer, Mjolnir.
