Schnitzel TRI, Outdoor Knife

Details:

Durable Kydex sheath with dangler system

Sweden steel for universal and safe use

Exceptionally sturdy!

Schnitzel Germany has once again put a lot of effort into development and proudly presents the Schnitzel TRI, a full-grown all-round knife designed for all kinds of outdoor activities such as camping, bushcrafting, hiking, etc

With its approx. 4.09 inch long blade, the TRI is a compact outdoor knife that is nevertheless a good size for mastering all tasks with confidence. The drop point blade has a raised flat grind and a thickness of 0.19 inch right behind the cutting bevel, which makes both for good cutting properties and robustness. The popular Swedish stainless steel Sandvik 14C28N (58-60 HRC) used here is ideally suited for the TRI's purposes. The blade spine tapers towards the point but does not make it look flimsy. What's more, the spine is angular enough to strike a fire steel and light a campfire. It also features effective jimping that extends well into the front grip area and gives your thumb a secure purchase, even when working in wet conditions or wearing gloves.

The handle of the TRI is made of sturdy, non-slip G-10 and its ergonomics ensure a secure hold in the most varied grip positions. The finger guard, which prevents the index finger from slipping onto the cutting edge, as well as the paracord lanyard provide additional safety for the knife's various applications. The handle scales are fastened with so-called chainring bolts that can be easily loosened with an M6 hex-wrench / Allen key if you wish to clean your TRI.

The heavy-duty, weatherproof Kydex sheath has a dangler-mounting system on the back for carrying the knife e.g. on a backpack or a belt. A pronounced and ergonomic thumb trough / rest on the spine of the sheath allows the knife to be drawn out comfortably in any situation.

The ultra-robust and weatherproof Kydex sheath leaves nothing to wish for. It is equipped with a dangler attachment that allows for easy and flexible carrying on a belt. A distinctive and ergonomic thumb recess/thumb ramp on the top for easy opening allows the knife to be comfortably removed from its sheath in any situation.

The popular rust-free Swedish steel Sandvik 14C28N (58-60 HRC) used here is ideally suited for the purposes of the β€œTRI,” and its 4 mm thick blade allows the knife to perform its tasks with ease. The back of the blade narrows towards the tip, but this does not make it look delicate. Furthermore, the back is edged enough to light a campfire with a fire steel.

Our Schnitzel TRI is made from a single piece of steel, making it exceptionally sturdy. Many other knife manufacturers do not use full-length blades, but instead use a glued tang (extension of the blade for attaching the handle), which is not sturdy enough for a wide range of applications. This makes breakage inevitable!

Schnitzel knives are different! Durable ? honest ? reliable!
