Forged in approximately 1,370°C (2500°F) fire, then folded and hammered to combined 1095 and 15n20 steel together forging an axe with around 520 true layered Damascus steel blades. The head of this exquisite masterpiece has a wonderful bearded style that features a lower hook meant for hooking and pulling down an opponent's weapon. - This solidly made axe is great for outdoor use. The pull/butt of the head offers a unique curved design with a stylish opening gap. The custom-made Damascus steel head has a Rockwell rating of 58 to 60 HRC. The Damascus material is characterized by multiple bands and mottling welded together in a patterned fashion to create decorative blades.
