They don’t leave home without one. Who knows when a rope will need cutting, a fish will need filleting or a pesky clamshell package will need opening? For the past 129 years, we’ve been proud to know our knives have earned their place in the pockets of the farmers, fishermen, hunters, ropers, and even bankers who carry them. Maybe it’s because they’re crafted in Bradford, PA.

(1) Made in Bradford, PA, USA since 1889 (2) 160 steps: Each knife takes over 160 manufacturing processes to complete (3) Hand-Crafted: Every knife is hand crafted by the most skilled artisans in the business (4) Collectible (5) Premium knives.

Case's commitment to quality is evident in the many pairs of hands that it takes to create just one knife. Case knives start with carefully shaped handles made from a wide range of genuine materials like cattle bone, stag antler, buffalo horn, mother-of-pearl, exotic woods and stones.

Russlock Knife

About Case

Knives

Quality

This collection offers two different blade types:

1) Clip blade - equipped for cutting and slicing in tight spots.

2) Drop point blade - excels at cutting and carving.

These blades are both ideal for every day carry and simple chores.

The gimped lever (pictured above) provides the convenient one-handed opening.

This pattern features a liner lock mechanism. The liner lock opens via a tensioned metal liner inside the handle. Opening the blade activates the lock and unlocking is achieved by placing the thumb on the front part of the liner and pushing to the left which releases the blade. This allows for easy one-hand opening and closing.

Tru-Sharp Stainless Steel (SS) is a special high-carbon steel that helps the blades hold an edge. It also offers extraordinary blade strength and corrosion resistance.

Chrome Vanadium (CV) blades are known for their edge-holding ability and easy re-sharpening. However, they are less resistant to rusting, pitting and discoloration than stainless steel. We recommend keeping a thin film of oil on the blade to maintain the finish.

Blades are honed at an inclusive angle of 35° - 45° from the factory. Maintaining a constant angle, hold the blade 17° - 22° from the surface of a sharpening stone and stroke the blade as if shaving a thin layer from the stone. Repeat the stroking motion along the entire edge of the blade starting at the blade heel and working to the tip. Turn the blade over and repeat the process.

Using a small drop of oil, wipe down the joints, blades, and handles. The inside of knife can be cleaned with cotton-tipped swabs and wooden tooth picks. To remove any adhesive tape on your knife, apply nail polish remover or lighter fluid to a soft cloth to easily remove the residue. Rusting may occur to older knives. Rust spots on older knives should be oiled well and the knife should be allowed to sit for a few days. Carefully, scrape away the rust spot with the tip of a sharp, stiff knife.

Case Honing Oil.

This honing oil is made especially for re-sharpening knives. The main features of this honing oil are: (1) protect the sharpening stone, (2) carry away debris, and (3) produce a keen edge on a metal blade such as a knife.

Care Tips

Sharpening

Cleaning

Honing Oil

https://campforge1.com/products/case-wr-xx-pocket-knife-amber-jigged-bone-russlock-item-260-61953l-ss-length-closed-4-1-4-inches
